Texts of horror cannot be misidentified, ignored or avoided. Otherwise, they terrorize and haunt us. This course will examine biblical and contemporary narratives and film that can be considered texts or stories of horror and horrible stories. We will consider the concepts of terror, hauntings, and horror. We will discuss how terror, hauntings, and horror relate to one another and appropriate responses to each.
