In this course we will first examine the concept of dissent. We will further explore readers of the NT from ancient and modern contexts who dissented or opposed, implicitly and explicitly. certain interpreters and interpretations of the NT, characterizations in the NT and/or the texts themselves as problematic, contrary to their experience with God, or as oppressive. We will also explore dissent motivated by justice.
