An exploration of the nature of God`s activity in the world, especially as it intersects with foundational Christian practices such as baptism and Eucharist. Through site visits, readings, lectures and reflections exploring recent developments in social theory, mission, human geography, and ritual theory, students examine the ways societies use story and practice to create shared perceptions of space and time, to produce and invoke shared meaning, to focus attention and mold perception, and to create culture.
