P690W Worshiping with the Senses: Music, Art, and Architecture

Worship is an embodied experience that utilizes all of one’s senses, even though most people
are unaware of this fact. This course focuses on the “non-speaking” elements of worship:
music, art, and architecture. Students will be introduced to different genres of each and how
to think about them theologically. Some class sessions will be held at churches and
museums. Prerequisite P540 Introduction to Christian Worship.
