P626S Storytelling Practices of the Displaced and Dispossessed: Narrative Therapy Seeks a Homeplace

This course will be designed for instruction into Narrative Therapy approaches, utilizing Portraiture Methodology to explore the ethical retelling for Story as case presentations for consultation. Students will go through the Institutional Review Board process for working with human subjects. Final presentations will utilize the narratives generated from collaborative ventures with identified community partners where thick descriptions and reflection about “self as therapist” (or as pastoral presence) will be included as an outcome of exploration.
