October 18, 2022 – The Board of Trustees of Columbia Theological Seminary has appointed Rev. Ann-Henley Nicholson as Vice President, Enrollment Management and Vocational Outreach effective November 28, 2022.
Currently, Rev. Nicholson serves as Director of Alumni Relations at Princeton Theological Seminary, where she earned a Master of Divinity degree in 2014. After graduation, she worked at Princeton Seminary as an Admissions Associate traveling across the country meeting prospective students and connecting with alumni/ae. Before that, she served as the Associate Pastor for Emerging Generations and Young Adults at First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta, where she created a young adult ministry and supervised staff devoted to the spiritual formation of children and teenagers.
“I have long admired the transformational ministry taking place at Columbia Theological Seminary,” said Rev. Nicholson. “Columbia’s vision for becoming a community of belonging where all God’s people flourish is also deeply compelling, and I am eager to join them in this vital ministry as, together, we shepherd prospective students while they discern God’s call.”
Columbia Theological Seminary is shifting its operations for enrollment and student affairs to better support both prospective and enrolled students. “As such, we have reimagined our structure so that we will have one department to oversee enrollment and vocational outreach and another to oversee student formation and campus culture,” said Rev. Dr. Victor Aloyo, President, Columbia Theological Seminary. “Both are vital to the health of the seminary and our mission of forming pastoral leaders for the church and the world.”
“The office of Enrollment Management and Vocational Outreach has been created to ensure that we are walking beside students as they are discerning their vocational call providing them with the information and support, they need to find the right institution so they can heed the call they hear from God,” said Dr. Aloyo. “Rev. Nicholson has experience working in admissions and in the pulpit and those experiences will benefit both this institution and our students.”
